Working From Home

: or How I Learnt To Love Quitting Jobs
I've always hated full time jobs. Or maybe I've always hated bosses and managers. Either way I've sworn them off. From now on I'm Working From Home!

Wouldn't that be a good idea for a blog. I think I'll take a turn here at FatCult and write about my life working from this computer.

I've started really freelancing my writing [for money] and am at a point where I can live from it. Joooyy. Does anyone else reading here do the same? I mean, not really work?

It's the little things that make it great. I got home today at 10 in the morning. Had a coffee and a chat for an hour or so, bit of breakfast. Then turned the computer on. Such freedom is bliss.

I am, however, pretty lazy, unorganized and I procrastinate a fair bit. But it's all generally productive, so I'm not too fussed. I started a thing where I take an hour out of each day and write and record a song - within the hour. Then post it at craigchilds.wordpress.com We'll see how it goes.

I decided to do that because, [1] I hadn't made a song in ages, and [2] an hour out of my day is SO little! How can I not find the time?

But yeah, no more jobs. [well maybe the odd bar job for fun...]

Congrats on being able to live from making money from writing, that's not easy. How did you get to that stage?

Freelancing for websites. It's surprisingly easy providing you can write well. Now I'm trying to set up more sites and get writers on board so I don't have to write at all!!

Put me down for the not working but for money, that sounds really good, if unbelievable.

And by the way I hate to say it but you're incredibly ugly. Maybe, at home, is the place you should stay.

Hi Craig

That's great, I've often wondered about the writing for the Internet opportunities. Have you been doing it for long?

Tracy

PS If you're looking for writers I would be interested...

Good on you.
