I don't know why it seemed like a good idea, but I definitely had no doubts about my ability to make the fake bills. I was confident that I could replicate all the fine lines.
Naturally, my end result was awful. My mom saw what I was doing, screeched at me and shredded up the fake note. I wasn't devastated, though... after drawing the bill, I realized that it was a lot harder than it looked.
It's that bit of comprehension about the world that kept me from trying something this stupid: Man accused of trying to cash check for $360,000,000,000
I'm not sure what went through this guy's mind... why he thought it was reasonable, or why he thought he could get away with it. Like he'd cash the bill, the teller would exclaim softly, then call a fleet of armoured cars to haul away the man's $360 billion. "Small bills, please."
