The Best Star Wars costumes

If there's one thing Comic-Con is good for, it's fashion. The tubby fanboys are the leaders of fashion trends, with their Linux T-shirts and homemade lightsabers.

Here's a highlight reel of some of the Comic Con '08 craziness. Oh, the dizzying trends! The fabrics, the colours!

The Official Star Wars Blog has a great collection of pics of the best Star Wars-related costumes at the convention, with all the standards: Stormtroopers, Darth Vader and a Wookie.

A cookie for a Wookie? No, thanks.

But what sci-fi convention would be complete without a slave Princess Leia, consort to mighty Jabba the Hutt? Not only is it a great costume to get a fluorescent light tan, but it's a great way for a girl to meet the Luke Skywalker of her dreams.

Er, ignoring the fact that Luke and Leia were siblings.

I've heard that Prada is totally using Comic Con as a launchpad for the 2009 Spring collection.
